At Big Island Genetics, the best seed in the world is our only goal. A standard we take seriously. We are humble knowing there is much work that still needs to be done. Our Philosophy
We are humbled to have the honor to preserve, protect, produce and promote these rarest of the rare lines. There are those who find it difficult to accept that a non-Hawaiian transplant from Las Vegas could actually find these very coveted strains when nobody else could for decades. Some cannot believe this because the true sources of these strain are Hawaiians and racial lines have been clearly drawn as a part of the local culture and the ha’oles history of lying, manipulating, stealing and destroying Hawaiian culture makes it less than likely Hawaiians would just give these seeds to the Professor. That’s exactly what happened. The haters have taken to the internet in a blatant attempt to discredit the Professor and the authenticity of the genetics. The seeds speak for themselves and have been independently vetted by several different sources.
Our Founder
Big Island Genetics was started in 2016 by “Professor Potgrower” a veteran guerilla grower, medical cannabis patient and infamous activist/defendant. Soon after his release from doing 12 months in federal custody he captured a trophy in Honolulu for a medical cannabis competition today known as the Aloha Cup. He won 1st place for the Big Island and second overall for the state of Hawaii with his entry of Puna Diesel. Experienced with over 20 years of growing, the Professor had dabbled with breeding with some notable success after creating a strain known as “Lucky” that moved around Puna growers for nearly 10 years before eventually disappearing like so many great local strains have done.
